Early Arrival of the British in India

Bombay, Calcutta and Madras were the 3 trading posts given to the British East India Company

When the British found out about the decline of the Mughal empire, they started to gain the support of the Hindu majority and they tried to use the Hindus against Muslims

The British East India Company were a group of private traders. They cheated their government by trying to conquer India illegally without informing or giving power to the British Government
